What Thailand’s Marketing Leaders Are Actually Building With AI

Inside the fifth edition of The MarTech Summit Bangkok, 6 October 2026

Marketing teams across Southeast Asia are in an awkward middle phase with artificial intelligence. The tools are widely available and widely discussed, but the distance between a successful pilot and a measurable business outcome remains considerable. Most leaders are no longer asking whether to adopt AI. They are asking what actually works, at what cost, and under which regulatory constraints.

That question sits at the centre of The MarTech Summit Bangkok, which returns for its fifth edition on 6 October 2026 at Hotel Nikko Bangkok. The summit brings together senior marketing, digital, customer experience and data leaders for a single day of practical exchange rather than vendor demonstration.

A closed-door format, by design

The summit is deliberately curated rather than open. Attendance is weighted heavily towards end-user practitioners, which changes the nature of the discussion. Previous editions have drawn teams from Unilever, Agoda, Samsung, CHANEL, Lazada, Bangkok Bank, SCB, Minor Hotels, Nestlé, Adobe and Mastercard.

The 2025 edition gathered more than 300 senior marketing professionals and over 30 speakers, with more than 90 per cent of the room in senior management or above, alongside 12 marketing technology exhibitors and over 30 one-to-one meetings. Post-event satisfaction was recorded at 95 per cent.

Four areas of focus for 2026

The 2026 agenda is built around four themes, drawn from industry research and direct attendee feedback.

Grounded in the region, not imported from elsewhere

A recurring frustration among practitioners in Southeast Asia is that global frameworks often arrive without regional context. The Bangkok agenda works the other way around. Sessions engage directly with Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act, with local customer behaviour, and with the uneven pace of AI adoption across the region, while still drawing on international perspective where it is useful.

This year the programme also runs two co-located Customer Data Demystified breakouts on the same day, placing marketing and data teams in the same room rather than in parallel conversations.

Who is in the room

Attendees include chief marketing officers, chief data officers, chief customer officers, and heads of marketing, digital, customer experience, and data and analytics, alongside marketing transformation leaders and country managers. They come from retail, banking, insurance, telecommunications, consumer goods, ecommerce, hospitality, technology and healthcare.

“Our remits ranged from Thailand-specific to regional to global. With this lens, we shared how to remain authentic and culturally relevant in our narratives. The extremely engaged audience kept us up there asking question after question, some of which I’m still answering in my head the morning after.”
